Frank Robinson is the public affairs manager for Union Bank, N.A. He is in charge of developing the bank’s multicultural strategy. His responsibilities include the management of diverse banking segments and implementation of internal and external strategies, tactics, marketing campaigns, programs, and products to increase market share in designated diverse segments.
Previously, Mr. Robinson served as a vice president and segment manager of Business Diversity Lending for Union Bank, where he oversaw the bank’s Special Purpose Credit Program. Business Diversity Lending offers a more flexible underwriting guidelines for women-, minority-, and disabled veteran-owned businesses throughout California, Washington, and Oregon.
In 1998, Mr. Robinson joined Union Bank as a financial services officer and was promoted within two years to assistant vice president and branch manager of the Brawley/El Centro branch. He also served as vice president and branch manager of the La Mesa office. While in both offices, Mr. Robinson was voted Branch Manager of the Year and his offices were voted Branch of the Year. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from California State University, San Bernardino. He is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. He also serves as the diversity consultant for Pacific Coast Banking School.
Mr. Robinson is an active member of the community and volunteers his time serving as vice chairman of the board of directors for Volunteers of America. He is also a past president of the San Diego Chapter of the Urban Financial Services Coalition and the Western Province Board Member and Kappa 100 member for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
