PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Welcome Everyone,

It is time to get started to apply to colleges, for scholarship, and prepare to do well on the SAT/ACT exam.

I wanted to restate our goals, priorities, and desired outcomes we discussed during our kick-off meeting in March. – You and youth who are sophomores, juniors or seniors (In Seattle Area High Schools) with a DRIVE TO ATTEND COLLEGE are invited to attend the Princeton Review SAT/ACT Test Preparation; gain knowledge on essay and resume writing for college and hear from working professionals.

We, The Youth College and Career Project (YCCP), received a grant from the Seattle Neighborhood Matching Fund (NMF) to pay for forty (40) students to take the test(s). The cost : FREE, FREE, FREE. (Current fee for those who have to pay: $600+)

Big Picture Goals:

  • Complete College Application:
  • Apply for Scholarship
  • Perform well on SAT/ACT exams
  • Graduate from high school

Priorities:

  • Students provide completed information upon request.
  • Provide assistance to completing documents during weekly sessions.
  • Provide feedback to students and parents question.

Let’s do this!
We’ve talked about this project for months. It’s finally time to deliver. Let’s make our community, family and friends proud by completing our application, doing well on the SAT./ACT, and graduate from high school. We know what to do – now let’s make it happen!
